original pencil artwork and ink by Will Meugniot, color by Myrna Gibbs. 1983.

It all started with this poster. When I was a kid, my father Jim Duffy was the producer on the original 5 episode mini-series that turned into the series that spawned my love of G.I.Joe and the new wave of action figures it would inspire. Nothing like it existed and the world will forever be impacted by the existence of these toys.

Anything my dad worked on, he was proud to show my sisters and I, and this was the highlight of his career at the time. At least, in my eyes. My sisters would probably argue that his time on the original My Little Ponies series or perhaps Jem and the Holograms was more exciting but thats an opinion only few would share compared to the collectors who have dedicated their lives to a 3-3/4” line of figures and what else it may have inspired.

Years after my fathers passing, I found 4 more of these posters, along with some proof cards, one of which is extremely rare. Shortly after posting them online for others to see, I was contacted by what is now one of my good friends in the collecting world. Through meet-ups and conventions I was introduced to others who truly love collecting vintage and modern action figures and a community of brotherhood that keeps these toys alive for the next generations to fall in love with as we once did. In a world of digital toys and instant gratification, toy collecting is an important part of our culture I am hoping to pass on for generations to come. After months of talking to friends and fans, a Marine named Bobby suggested something unique and I was inspired to make it a reality. I bring you, The File Card Locker V1.

With space for your favorite figure, their accessories and file card, this is a unique way to display your prized possessions and show off your collection without having to pay someone to seal them away from ever being able to touch (or play with) them again.
